Shichan writes about China’s technological development, particularly in the semiconductor and artificial intelligence industries. Previously, she worked in product marketing, strategy and project management roles at Volkswagen Group China and BMW China.

A native of Fujian, Shichan is a native Hokkien speaker in addition to English and Mandarin. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and German from Sun Yat-sen University and a Master’s degree from University College London. Now based in Beijing, she enjoys traveling and boardgames in her free time.
