Shichan researches China’s technology development, particularly in the chip industry and artificial intelligence. She developed her business and analytical skills through her previous roles in product marketing, strategy and project management at Volkswagen Group China and BMW China.

Having grown up in Fujian, Shichan is a native Hokkien speaker. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in English and German from Sun Yat-sen University and a Master’s degree from University College London. She is based in Beijing. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and boardgames.
