Gilliam has over a decade of experience as a financial editor and China policy analyst. Prior to joining Gavekal Dragonomics in 2019, he served as Editor in Chief and Head of the Beijing Office for North Square Blue Oak, a China policy research house. He has appeared as a China analyst on BBC World News and had his work published in the Financial Times and the Center for European Policy Analysis. Gilliam holds a Master’s degree in International and Public Affairs from the University of Hong Kong and a Bachelor’s degree in Chinese & Management from the School of Oriental and African Studies in London.
