Southeast Asia Analyst
Gavin graduated from Durham University in 2006 with a degree in Chinese with Russian/East Asian Studies. He has worked as a journalist with the Financial Times, The Standard and China Economic Review, as well as done stints as an equity research analyst and a due diligence risk analyst. At GaveKal, he is the lead analyst for the South East Asian region. He speaks fluent English, Mandarin, Cantonese, Russian and French, as well as basic Spanish and Thai. He has travelled extensively around the Eurasian landmass, and enjoys playing rugby and squash.
